while there is free info about the UK being exchanged, google tells me manchester is about 4 hours from london. is there a train to take or should i be worrying about renting a car? also, are there late trains or am i stuck in manchester for the evening if i don't drive?

The london to manchester direct train takes just over 2 hours. i think i'll be living in Birmingham so i'm looking to get a train back for work the following day. My train leaves from euston at 11.30, and i hate to leave early to get the tube to a station to go home. If it's close to Euston it'd be great. Google maps suggests so, but if someone with greater experience could confirm, please!
You can get the 253/168 a couple of stops down Eversholt Street to Euston, or it's only half a mile's walk down that same road.

I currently have scheduled a business trip for May 22-May 29 in London, which is very coincidentally the same week the MGs will be in London and Manchester. I have tix for both. So my fingers are very much crossed that I will be able to see the boys on the other side of the pond. He is bringing the whole band, right? Is this the first full band UK tour?
