Oh, I'll use John's handwriting, that'll work" so when I saw them in Minneapolis Halloween '07, I had John write tMG on a piece of paper. I turned eighteen a few months ago and have kind of been putting off having it done and then yesterday I just thought "Well, I just got paid so might as well" and went and had it done. Man, I wish. I'm a HUGE AJJ fan...even have the four Asian Man full-length test pressings...but no. I'm just a big AJJ and tMG fan.

Well, she said that because the tMG tattoo that she has already is exactly the same as the one I have planned. We both found the quotation separately and discovered this while talking tattoos one day :D

So my feelings still stand - yeah, there is a ton of tMG material to go through, but that just means that when you find the exact write phrase or image, you'll know that it truly stood out of the crowd for you.

I'll let you know how I got to my first tMG tattoo -

After searching and searching and searching for something in the tMG catalog that fit how I was feeling / what I wanted my tattoo to represent, I had just about given up hope. I couldn't find any text that worked and a lot of the imagery that I was drawn to was too complex for the simple tattoo I wanted. Then one day I was randomly listening to All Hail West Texas and the song Absolute Lithops Effect came on and the song clicked with me, it was very intense. Curious as to what Lithops are, I turned to wikipedia and learned all about those beautiful flowers that grow in the least likely circumstance - out of rock. It was perfect for me, as I was looking for something that would represent overcoming all of the crap that life was throwing at me at the time.

I completely agree with Megh though. It's not about what stands out to us, it's what means most to you.

I, for one, have a Yellow Rose climbing my leg. The inspiration? All Rooms AC Cable Free Coffee "I am a yellow rose, growing near the ground, waiting to climb something."

My next tattoo (which I am super excited to say is being outlined on Friday the 13th next month!) is a full back tattoo which has TONS of meaning for me and includes a bridge, lots of water, and some influences from the Tao and Siddhartha.]]> Mtn.
